I gardened a lot this past Saturday. I transplanted a magnolia into a container, which I can't wait for it to bloom. If I had bigger yard, I think I'd have 5 magnolias!!! They are that pretty! In fact, I went to a garden nursery just to check out what I can buy for future plans. Hahaha... nerdy, and I digress:)
ALso, I worked on a few orchids and changed its medium, which wasn't so bad. The roots of one were so spoiled and rotten that a colony of ants were living in it.. EEK!!! So, with a little TLC, then it'll survive.
What suprises me is that I planted some seeds: Datura, Zinnia, Poppies and Dahlias. Already the zinnia is beginning to grow into a seedling. It's only been about 3 days. I didn't expect anything this soon. Perhaps in a few months, I'll have to transplant the seedlings into a bigger pot. Oh well, I can't wait. The Zinnia is called Envy, so I can't wait to see the deep, chartreuse tones of that flower.
