Last month I was summoned to court. Today I was summoned again for jury duty. That's twice in a year! DH noticed that mailings were both addressed to me, however one had my maiden name and the other listed my married name. So now, I need to make a phone call to court system.

ignore the maiden name one...and if they ever catch you - just show that you served on that date under your married name...
wow! what are the chances of getting picked under your maiden name AND under your married name? you know...i haven't been summoned for jury duty for the past 10 years or so....kind of crazy...i wonder if i'm still alive in thier system.

Well, I just need to mail in my reply that I have already served my duty. I'll mail that in soon.
i'm picked 3 times a year, married name, maiden name and maiden w/ married name...oh joy...
daph - as soon as you buy a new car or register to vote or change your address for voting you'll get called in to serve jury duty within 3 mo. i'd put good $$$ on it.
it has to do with voter registration. if you aren't registered to vote, your chances of jury duty are low. ive been called every year since turning 18 - bah.
wah! i hope i didn't jinx myself...i bought the car last october so it's almost been a year and i haven't gotten picked yet....cross your fingers!
