Spring Break.

Spent a few days in Monterey. Walked through Monterey Bay Aquarium, the Cannery and Fisherman's Warf. I enjoyed the jellyfish exhibit. They are graceful creatures that seem to float in the water. They glow against the dark waters. That's when they look their best; from clear, pink to a tinge of blue. I know the sea otters are another favorite, but we didn't get to see much of them. Another interesting creature was the sun fish. That is one big fish which seemed to swim always on its side. At the cannery, ate and tried a lot of new foods the Hopper, Old Fishermans Grotto and other side shops. Of course, had to have clam chowder in a bread bowl- and that was delicious! Something sweet lingered in the air and couldn't stop myself from going in the candy shop. So, I bought myself caramel popcorn and a caramel apple. Rented a couple bikes and biked along the coastline. A little scary because at times there wasn't a guarded bike path, but for the most part, it was a pretty ride. It felt good to be outside and feel the sunlight and breeze. For a little town, there's was a lot to do. Oh, and I may have picked up a new collection: squished pennies.
