A city trip!

Yahoo! Another trip to the city!! It's been quite a month! It started with going to SoCal to attend a wedding. Then we went to Monterey Bay during Labor Day Weekend. And, twice already we went to downtown San Francisco! It's been fun going out and being out. The weather has been unbearable in the East Bay, that the city just seemed so much better. Plus, the city just has all the shopping ventures you could imagine! All kinds of clothing and all kinds of street vendors. I kept eyeing anything TokiDoki and now Ed Hardy... I think it's the colors and crazy designs that piqued my interest! The shirts and bags are eye-candy! We were also lucky to catch the last part of the Moon Festival at Chinatown. I wanted mooncakes and plants (michelia alba!!!- missed opportunity... next time, right?), and perhaps another lucky cat; but there wasn't much room to browse around. Chinatown was closed off to booths and a streetful of people. We found a nice spot to relax at St Mary's Square. So, we just sat for a bit while listening to all the activity around us and from a distance, the sound of an ehru.

And, then there's the food!!! I can't help but talk about food!!! Coffee at 'Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf''!!! Who would have thought! San Francisco is the closest city I can go to, to have that kind of dessert drink. Good memories- reminds me home! Then, we ate lunch at the San Francisco Centre's 'Out the Door' a Vietnemese restaurant. A good place to just sit, relax and not worry having to find a seat considering it's part of the Emporium aka food court. To our suprise, we found 'Beard Papa's'- Yummy!!! It's a little shop that sells creampuffs. I actually wouldn't have mind trying a hot dog stand either. But, perhaps next time!

cool...monterey is very pet friendly...everyone was waking their pets when we were there. its surprisingly cold at night...even on the hottest of days...we were wearing jeans and windbreakers in the evenings.
