Happy New Year!

Wow! What a year!! Time just speeds up as we get older :)

In short, I celebrated my birthday last month with a few friends and family. We all had brunch at Hs Lordship. A lot of good food; too much to choose from. It didn't help that the lines were long. Right around my birthday, I had a terrible cold and had to stay home from work. Yay! But, not really. Aside from sleeping my week away, I caught up with my dramas for the week. The holidays came and went. Again, I was mostly sick and had a lingering dry cough. Tried to go out and enjoy the weather. We visited the Monterey Aquarium and saw a giant octopus. Spent some time in San Francisco at the Academy of Sciences. Christmas day was spent at the Pleasanton Hotel. And, New Year's day was nice and quiet. We all had breakfast at Mimi's cafe. I was actually suprised that it (as well as a lot of stores) was open. By the time I felt better, it was already time to go to work. What a long week that was! It was hard getting back into the swing of things.
